She also has access to school horses and has access to a few horses available for lease. Either way, you will love the lessons. She has a favorite quote; “What is the difference between the upper level rider and the lower level rider?” The answer is... “The timing and effectiveness of their aids.“ It is her goal then to teach you your aids and the proper use of them and then help you understand when they are working correctly. Although she focuses on the rider position, she feels that if the horse is in the right frame and position that the rider will find their good position much easier to hold. That is having the horse on the aids. On your first lesson with Susan you will find she is easy to talk to and loves to have riders ask questions or share their thoughts with her on what they know. She will then discuss why she agrees or not with your thoughts in a logical manner. She loves to discuss different techniques and why some work or not depending on the horse's level of training and understanding. Her strong suit is patience.
