Although Susan wants to empower you to train your own horse, she understands that it takes time to learn how to apply aids correctly. If you have a horse that is green or has training issues it is usually due to confusion understanding its rider. It is for this reason that she will take horses in for training for 1 to 2 months or more and help the horse understand what it is that is being asked for. Sometimes a green horse and green rider slows the learning process down and can be frustrating. Should you choose to send your horse for training she has several facilities that she works with, such as Maplewood Warmbloods. She will keep a log of when the horse is trained and what was worked on with some comments on how the horse was accepting his/her training. She then asks that you take a lesson a week to let you feel the change in your horse.

There are no bad horses, just bad balance.
